At the heart of FCA are coaches. Our role is to minister to these men and women by encouraging and equipping them to know and serve Christ. FCA ministers to coaches through Bible studies, staff contacts, prayer support, discipleship and mentoring, Behind the Bench (a program for coaches wives), resources, outreach events, national and local conventions, conferences and retreats.

Join us for one of our FCA Hockey Coaches studies starting in mid January or in the Spring.  We will be studying Romans 12, and how to become a Romans 12 Coach.   For more information on the study, visit www.r12coach.com.

What Is Our Purpose?

To empower and equip Christian athletic leaders to minister to coaches, helping them to live and coach with biblical priniciples through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Our Objectives

  • To develop a diverse group of FCA staff who can minister to coaches and mentor others to do the same.
  • To train FCA staff in coaches ministry model that can be replicated in college, high school, middle school, club sports, youth leagues, on the mission field and across the nation.
  • To provide in-depth training in the principles of biblical coaching, discipleship skills, leadership development, mentoring skills and resource development.
  • Coaches Bible Study

FCA Hockey is leading the way with the first national, sports specific college coaches bible study. In August, the FCA hockey ministry kicked off a virtual bible study with 12 Division I-III hockey coaches. The study group meets once a month and is working through a coaching focused bible study called "Coaching to Win God's Way".

This group of coaches not only recognizes their great influence on the athletes and communities they serve. They also have embraced the opportunity to invest time together, to improve their stewardship of the influence God gives them to make sure they bring a great return for the Lord.
