Chosen Attribute:   Teamwork

Why is this important to you?

Teamwork is important to me because it is a very crucial attribute both on and off the ice. On the ice teamwork is important because individualism does not work in the game of hockey, but rather a team effort brings the most success. Teamwork is knowing that your teammates will help overcome any adversity that is faced together and as one. Off the ice, teamwork is just as important as in your relationship with Christ. Yes, we are supposed to have our own personal relationship with Christ but we are also supposed to have fellowship with each other. Proverbs 27:17 is a great example of teamwork, “Iron sharpers iron, and one man sharpens another.” We as brothers or sisters in Christ should hold each other accountable and build one another up in our relationships with The Lord. Sometimes it is very difficult to walk through this life on your own, so it really makes a difference when you have others around to help you work through the struggles and strengthen your relationship with God.

Favorite Scripture verse:

Titus 3:7 “So that being justified by His grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” (ESV)

What else should we know about you?

I come from a very strong Christian family with an older brother, older sister, and two younger brothers. All the kids in the family played or are still playing hockey. My sister played hockey for the University of North Dakota. Future goals for myself is to continue to spread God’s Good News with the platform He has given me as a hockey player and work hard to play in the NHL. Outside of hockey, I love just spending time with the family, golfing, hiking, and really anything that has to do with athletics.
