Chosen Attribute: Serving

Why is this attribute important to you?

Jesus set the example for how we should serve others, and I am trying hard to live up to that example. The more people I am able to serve, the greater impact I can have for the Kingdom of Heaven. No matter what the circumstances, being able to serve others helps to demonstrate my tremendous Love for the Lord.

What is your favorite scripture verse?
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." - Jeremiah 29:11

This verse reminds me that no matter how hard or trying my circumstances may be, that everything is under the direct control of Jesus Christ. It reminds me of the Lord’s promise that he knows what He’s doing in my life, that He is working in everything to produce a good and beneficial result, and that I have a Living, Risen Savior that can back up that promise.

What else should we know about you?
Jamie faithfully leads the FCA Hockey Bible Study huddle at Holy Cross University every week. Although he has a very demanding major in Physics, he sets aside time weekly to organize a topic, prepare the bible lesson and leads 10-15 guys each week. Prior to HC, Jamie attended Tabor Academy where he played hockey for 3 years. Jamie has one younger brother Drew, who attends Hamilton College and plays hockey for them. For your tremendous dedication to Serving your teammates, your family and your Lord, FCA Hockey is proud to recognize Jamie as the March “FCA Hockey Heart and Soul” Athlete of the Month.
