Team: Northstar Christian Academy, Prep School
Hometown: Laconia, NH
Birth Year: 2000
Height: 6' 0"
Chosen Attribute: Serving
Why is this important to you?
try to lead through serving my teammates. Serving is important to me because Jesus was the greatest servant of all, and I am trying to become more like Him. At the academy, we are all learning how to be servant leaders because we understand the importance of this attribute. Serving my teammates can come in various forms for me. For example, it can be off the ice when I sharpen everyone’s skates after our long day at school, or even on the ice by taking a short shift, blocking a shot, or even back checking.
Serving my family is very important to me because of how much my parents have done for me. I want to honor my parents and serve them to the best of my ability. I also serve at church by working in the media area. I don’t just serve to serve, I serve because I enjoy it. My parents have brought me up with a focus on having a servant’s heart. I am thankful to them for establishing this attribute in my own life.
Have you been involved with FCA or FCA Hockey in the past? What has been your experience with us? How has FCA Hockey impacted you?
I have been a part of FCA hockey since the summer of 2017. I started with going to Team FCA at Niagara University. The event that sparked my love for FCA hockey was Chowder Cup. Being on a team with all Christian guys was something I had never experienced and we all had grown closer in that week than I had been with any team I had been on before.
FCA Hockey is the reason that I am at the Northstar Christian Academy playing on the best team I have ever been a part of. I am honored to be a part of FCA Hockey and plan on being involved for as long as I can.
What is your favorite scripture verse? Why is this important to you?
My favorite scripture verse comes out of Judges 6:12, which is my favorite passage in the Bible right now.
It says, “When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, ‘The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.’”
The story of Gideon has been a constant theme in my life. I find that trusting in God and communicating with Him is what it takes to rise up to the occasion and fight. On the ice, I strive to be a valiant warrior who plays every single shift hard and intense to honor the Lord. I want to honor God through this sport and I think that being a mighty warrior is how I can do that.
How did you hear about FCA Hockey?
I heard about FCA hockey through an email I received.
