Chosen Attribute: Integrity
Why is this important to you?
I believe that integrity is the most important attribute somebody can have. In order to have integrity, it demands that you must have honesty, vulnerability, and a sound moral compass. Without one of the those components, the overarching attribute of Integrity crumbles. Especially as a captain over the past two years, I have quickly come to know that integrity is pivotal while growing and improving within a leadership role. Gods word even states, “The godly walk with integrity; blessed are the children who follow him,” - Proverbs 20:7.
Have you been involved with FCA or FCA Hockey in the past? What has been your experience with us? How has FCA Hockey impacted you?
For the past 4 years, I have been involved in various camps both participating and helping run, coach and disciple in them as well. Since joining the ministry, my life has had a complete shift in all facets in my life as I am now living for the Lord and the glory of his Kingdom.
What is your favorite scripture verse? Why is this important to you?
“For God did not give us the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-discipline.”
2 Timothy 1:7
This is by far my favorite verse due to its strong meaning, and promise that God gives to us. It assures us that even in those times that we are consumed by fear, the Lord provides us with the assurance that He is always there for us, as He gave us three central attributes to live and glorify his Kingdom in everything we do.
How did you hear about FCA Hockey?
I heard through FCA Hockey through one of my closest friends’ Dad’s and former coach, Kurt Morton.
