Chosen Attribute:  Teamwork

Why is this important to you?

I believe teamwork, along with the other three FCA core values, is absolutely necessary to be successful in anything, not just sports. If one is not able to properly work with other individuals and not cooperate with them, they will have trouble building trust and developing relationships. I strongly believe in everyone playing their role on a team, but remaining humble, whether they are the top star on the team or the grinder on the third line. If one person does not follow along, then there is a piece missing and it could hurt the rest of the team. You’re only as good as your weakest player. It is important for the entire team to buy into the system and play together. That is when they will experience the most success.

Favorite Scripture verse:

Luke 1:37- For nothing is impossible with God.

Of all the verses in the Bible that I love, this one has probably meant the most to me and has always stuck out in the hard times. With my mom having brain cancer, our family has had to battle some pretty scary and emotional moments over the last three years. When I’m ever in doubt that something might be too hard or too far-fetched to accomplish, in sports or in my home life, I can always remember this verse and remember that nothing, absolutely nothing, is impossible with our omnipotent God.

What else should we know about you?

Finished senior season for Little Falls Flyers with over 100 points in high school career. Future plans may include either exercise science department (trainer, physical therapist, even a chiropractor maybe), or the area of youth ministry. I love both career options, but I am waiting on God’s direction. Looking forward to playing college hockey at one of the division III colleges that I applied for. I have the best parents in the world, Jon and Sherri Majerle, and also three younger brothers, all of whom play hockey. My parents raised me well, making church always the number one priority over both hockey and friends. We attend the Living Hope Assembly of God in our town and I have been going there my whole life. I am very thankful that I have an awesome youth group there where I get a chance to play guitar and sing in the worship band on Wednesdays and Sundays. I enjoy hanging out with my friends and just getting to know people. I am not a super outgoing guy, but I like to get to know people and who they really are, not just who they may appear to be.
