Chosen Attribute:  Serving

Why is this important to you?

Serving is the most important attribute to me because it provides the most opportunities to minister to others. Whether you are a captain and a leader of your team, or you just take a minute to help pick up pucks after practice. Sometimes it’s the small things in life that can make a big impact in someone’s life. The reason I think serving is so important is because everyone has the chance to serve. Two years ago I was the youngest on my team, and God showed me some very simple things to help make a difference in my team, even if I wasn’t the best. Then this past year I was one of the oldest girls and voted captain. This gave me many other great opportunities to help lead my team.

Favorite Scripture verse:

1 Timothy 4:12 Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

This scripture speaks for itself. Don’t let anyone count you out because of age, but we should be the ones setting examples for everyone.

What else should we know about you?

I am 16. I am a junior in high school. I have two very supportive parents who have been amazing throughout my whole hockey career. I have an older sister (Kyle), older brother (bear),  and an identical twin sister (Kendall). Kendall is a goalie and we started playing roller hockey at the age of 4 and switched to ice hockey just after our eleventh birthday. Its really nice always having that person there to work out or shoot with. She is a very big reason that i have made it to where I am today. Outside of hockey I take part in a lot of other activities. I have played many other sports such as soccer, volleyball, swimming, baseball, lacrosse ect… I sing in a choir. I have been a part of many different youth groups. I am on the school’s leadership team. I have an amazing, very supported group of friends. I hope to play hockey in college eventually. God has really blessed me in all the opportunities I have had. I couldn’t have ever dreamed that I would have had all these chances, or met this many amazing people, and I will forever be grateful for that.
