Chosen Attribute:  Excellence

Why is this important to you?

Excellence is important to me because it’s about pushing yourself to a higher standard both on and off the ice. The Bible tells us, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord” (Colossians 3:23, NIV). As a smaller player and someone that did not start hockey at a very early age, it is important for me to put in the extra time and work extra hard and know that God will take care of the rest.

Favorite Scripture verse:

Luke 1:37 (NKJV) ”For with God nothing will be impossible.”

If you go back two years, I never thought I’d be playing hockey at the level I am today. I've learned that God loves to bless our efforts. I love the sport of hockey and I have big dreams. Knowing that God is with me, and that He cares about what is important to me, is very encouraging. When your goals are high, it is easy to get influenced by negativity and distractions. This verse reminds me that God is so much bigger than any of that.

What else should we know about you?

I hope one day to play in the NHL. It’s a high goal, but with God and the supportive family that He has given me, I know it’s possible. I have 3 sisters, 1 brother, 1 niece, and 1 nephew. My family is awesome. We like to do a lot of things together. It’s hard with the hockey schedule some times, so I look forward to my time with them. Our church is The Crossing in Chesterfield, MO. Outside of hockey I like hanging out with friends and family and being active.
