Chosen Attribute:   Teamwork

Why is this important to you?

Teamwork is so important to me because in the game of hockey you can have a lot of talented individuals on a team but if they do not work together effectively they will always underachieve. Just like we need teamwork in hockey we also need it as followers of Christ. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 states that “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.” As servants of Christ we must hold each other accountable and be there to pick each other up when we fall.

Favorite Scripture verse:

Colossians 3:23-24 – “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.”

I love this verse because it applies to everything you do in life. I get an overwhelming feeling of joy and enthusiasm when I think about this verse no matter what I am doing. It could be 6am team workouts or helping someone fix a flat on the road. No matter what it is I am excited to work as hard as I can knowing that I am working for the Lord.

What else should we know about you?

I have 2 years left here at Hamline University so my short-term goal is to win a championship here. I would love to play hockey after college and if the Lord decides that is where he wants me then I will do that otherwise I will graduate with a double major in Exercise Science and Economics. I have a younger brother named Tony who is perusing a career in law enforcement in Duluth, MN. I am very close with my family because they have made so many sacrifices for me so I could play hockey and I am forever grateful for that. This past summer I attended New Hope Church in New Hope, MN.
