Hometown: Denver, CO
Birth Year: 1997
Weight: 160 lbs
Chosen Attribute: Teamwork, Excellence, Serving, Integrity
Why is this important to you?
It is difficult for me to choose just one attribute that is most important to me. For me, teamwork, excellence, serving, and integrity all go hand-in-hand in defining a worthy teammate and fellow human being.
Throughout my personal, academic, and hockey life, I have found myself living by the creed that a man’s word is his bond. For me, if I am not a loyal and honest person both on and off the ice, then I have failed my teammates, myself, and those who trust and believe in me.
I think that most people who know me well would say that I am a fiercely loyal teammate. As a goalie, I know all too well that it does not take just one player for a shut out to happen or for a team to win a game. Working together with my teammates on the ice is one of my greatest joys. Without those in front of me and those beside me on the bench, success could never happen.
I try to strive for excellence for myself and my team in every practice and every game. Finally, maybe it is my Jesuit education or just my mother’s words ringing in my ear, but regardless of where I am or what I am doing I am always mindful that ‘but for the grace of God there go I.’ Even in my greatest defeats, I know that I have been blessed with so much which is why I always strive to serve, stand up for others, fight for social justice, and always give back.
Have you been involved with FCA or FCA Hockey in the past? What has been your experience with us?
This past year was my first with FCA and to be honest, I wish I had found it sooner. My experiences with FCA rank up there with some of my fondest memories of hockey. Being part of the Chowder Cup Team was an incredible experience and I only wish it could have lasted longer than just a week or two.
What is your favorite scripture verse? Why is this important to you?
Jeremiah 29:11 is my favorite scripture verse. It is important to me because it reminds me to always have faith, trust the process, and that there is no need for excess worry. There is a purpose for everything and at the end of the day all will be okay.
How did you hear about FCA Hockey?
Through Jack O’Halloran and Rick Randazzo.
What else should we know about you (future goals in hockey, family members, what church do you go to, favorite stuff outside of hockey, etc.)
I love growing up in Colorado. It has an amazing hockey community. When I am not on the ice or working, I enjoy hiking and spending time with my friends and family. My goal is to play NCAA college hockey and I am working hard every day to pursue that dream.
